A Senecio species, but I forget which. The glaucous covering on the leaves (don't touch them, as it is removable and doesn't come back) indicates it's a full-sun plant, but gradually introduce it to that.

Are you sure it's a senecio, Jeff? It's so Crassulaceae looking.

This is Cotyledon orbiculata var. oblonga. I have the same plant - will try to remember to post a picture of mine when I get home!

Marguerite,

You're quite right - it is Crassulicious. Erica's righted my wrong guess.

Awesome! Anything more narrow than the 1,500 crassula species?

Silver Dollar tree?

Ha! Apologies, I just read back through the posts. So Cotyledon IS a type of crassula! Got it. Erica, if you could post a picture of your plant I would really appreciate it. I don't really care exactly what it is, but want to know what a mature one should/could look like. Thanks all. And apologies once again. Tough day...

It's not a type of Crassula (which is a genus in the Crassula Family, AKA Crassulaceae). It's another genus entirely, but related to Crassula,

That's correct. Cotyledon is in the Crassulaceae family. I'll try to get a picture of mine for you but I won't be home much the next couple days (possibly won a carribean vacation and have to finalize prize paperwork, then it's beer fest!!). This can be a little confusing for someone unfamiliar with succulents because there is the genus Crassula in the Crassulaceae family!

-Erica

Ah. Clear as mud, but helpful. Thanks. Hope you won a vacation. Don't let them sell you a timeshare instead!

It is a Cotyledon, but not orbiculata v. oblonga. Looks like a form of Cotyledon 'White Sprite' (with longer, more flattened leaves).

Is there a species name for that, Rosemarie? I got that ID from Google.

-Erica

Here are mine. I do have it labelled 'White Sprite'.

Sorry they are sideways, I had to post from my phone. Today is beer fest and I did win a trip to San Juan!

-Erica

Sorry, Erin, no species name. Congrats on winning that trip! :)

Looks a lot like one I use to have called Cotyledon 'happy young lady' or something like that....
