The options that I know of are an enzyme based odor eliminator like natures miracle, Odoban, or replacing the carpet and carpet pad. The enzyme cleaner needs something like 24-48 hours to work, meaning it needs to stay wet with product for that time. The Odoban is a disinfectant solution that has never failed me for difficult odors. I get this at home depot for $10 for a concentrated gallon. You dilute and apply, and let dry. The more concentrated, and more heavily you apply, the better chance of complete odor removal in one application. Or you can replace the old carpeting, AND pad, as this will really hold the ammonia salts from the urine, clean and seal the subfloor with killz, and recarpet. Urine, and especially cat urine has a reputation for being difficult. So it my require multiple applications of product to get rid of the scent, it may smell clean finally, but with summer heat and humidity or rain, the smell can almost reactivate and you can detect it again.

Sorry you have to deal with cat urine...the things cats parents deal with!!!

On another note, peeing somewhere they are not supposed to usually means something is wrong. Could be not having enough litter boxes, an illness or stress from a new person, or moving, diet change, something like that.

Being you are looking for a cost effective solution, maybe you want to retry the scoe 10x. I have never used it, but after looking at their site, maybe you need to apply it more heavily. Being you have some, you must have spend some good money on it. It says you should dilute it 8 parts Luke warmwater to 1 part scoe 10x for urine, waiting 20 mins for activation, using about 1 gallon per 50 square foot of flooring. Pour it on urine spots, treating 1 foot larger diameter than spot. Letting it sit longer than the recommended 20 mins being it's urine. If you are still having odor issues, then its in the carpet pad. Scoe 10x looks like the sell a kit to inject their product in to the carpet/pad.

This product sounds interesting though, with instructions to use it on your skin for underarm odor. It just worries me that I can't find an ingredient listing.

Thank you both for your good suggestions....I do live close to a Home Depot and will get some Odoban...As I've said, it's in the back bedroom, my sewing room...We only have 2 fur babies and have 2 different litter boxes so I don't think that was the problem...But, we recently had to have work done in the basement, replacing pipes, and had to move the one box and that might have "irritated" the little princess.....Not that the babes are spoiled but......

My human babies would have been in time out most of their lives had they pulled some of the antics these fur babies pull, lol.....But, I'm still grateful, they allow us to live with them.....Thanks again.....

Oh very true, the animal family members get away with so much more than my human kids ever could!!

The Odoban comes in a few scents; eucalyptus, lavender, melon and citrus. Some scents are more powerful. For urine I tend to go with eucalyptus. If you are scent sensitive, I recommend opening a window, and this also helps with drying.

I also use about 1/2 a cup in laundry for things like pet beds, or really dirty loads. Sometimes my kids run a load and forget to put it in the dryer, so it clears up the musty/ moldy smell very well.

My fingers are crossed for you, hopefully those little stinkers don't keep stinkin' up the sewing room.
