Its the size of the bulb that matters, which would increase with age until it reaches its' max potential size. I would think they would be shipped w/o foliage.

You could go to your local privately owned nursery and ask them to order the plants you want. All good privately owned nurseries will do that for you. They aren't expensive plants either, so you have to look around at what is in your local area. I don't know where you live, you might want to look online under a search under plant nurseries and put your zip code in.

I know of one in Bucks county, PA that will order for you without hesitation, Gaspers, but I don't think it is anywhere near you at all.

I bought some bulbs at the grocery store - grew great, and cost ten percent of what they sell for at a nursery. You can have a small plant in a week, and a large plant in a month or two.

That's true, but they won't be named cultivars, probably just the plain species Colocasia esculenta (Taro.) That's not one of the plants that Treehugger is looking for.

Logees in CT. have some bigger plants, check them out ! I live in Z6b in eastern MA. and, have been successful with overwintering pink china in ground.
