Need help with a door covering idea in my dining room

We have downsized and I need my sideboard in the dining room for dish storage. To put it there we have to close off an unnecessary doorway. Any ideas for how to create a screen or maybe a decorative curtain?

i'm sticking with my original suggestion of drapes to match, or if you dont have drapes, with maureens tapestry. remember if you hang something on the wall it doesnt have to be centered on the door, so if you wanted to move your buffet to the right (better access to the light switch) or left, you can cover the door and some wall either side of the door, and the buffet wont have to be right there where it is now.

can you put a rod over the door and hang the same kind of drape that is on the window? match heights and the eye wouldnt be too jerked around.

A tapestry or you could add a barn door instead, which may look nice behind your sideboard, but still practical when furniture is gone.

For starters, an inexpensive fix would be to paint the door in the same color and finish as your wall. This will alleviate the problem quite a bit.

But for another, more expensive option try installing two mirrored French barn doors which would not only cover your existing door, but give your sideboard a classy mirrored back drop while you still have access to that door. should you need it.
