is the window shade custom or did you purchase it from somewhere? I love the map idea, but would love a world map.

The window shade was provided by stylist Shannon Quimby for the shoot. It is a vintage map sourced through a vintage shop in Portland. If you look closely, you can see that the map shows the traditional territories of different Native American tribes. You can find great resources for vintage maps online. Just be sure you measure the opening first to be sure the map will fit the location you have in mind.
