They can take quite a hard pruning, but if it's a grafted tree make sure it doesn't put out sprouts below the graft.

It needs a bigger pot, cow dung/urea and you could tipprune the top.

How can I tell where the graft is?

I don't know if it is green or gold but on the little information card it has a picture of a yellow mango. I'm going to put it in a bigger smart pot. Hopefully it will do better.

Does anyone have experience it's container planting their mango in fabric smart pots?

This is a picture of my other two mango trees in a smart pot. I've had it for just one month.

Those pots have a good size but i don't have experience with breathing pots like that. My pots are all closed. The roots sure get more air this way but i guess you'll have to water it every day or maybe twice a day in summer.

In Bangkok you can buy mangotree's from 5-6 metres tall with fruit in a pot like this. They don't use these fabric pots though but shadingnet or weaved bamboo baskets.

Mangotree's when young like nitrogen. If i give my potted mango urea then in 1-2 days it flushes. They are pretty strong tree's though but make sure you water them enough.

In a big pot like this the tree's will grow more wide with sidebranches. If you prune the tips then you'll get a short wide tree which doesn't get blown over easy. Also big pots are less of a problem in case you forget to water them sometimes.
