Hardwood floors

What type of a redwood floors are these? I don't see a ridge are they pre-finished, what is the stain color? They appear to be oak....?

    Jenn, the ridge you described is also called a bevel. Most pre finished floors will have the bevel as part of the manufacturing process. Good eye BTW! joel@eutree.com

    Thank you both for your reply. Would you mind weighing in on whether you prefer prefinished flooring or finished on site, having a hard time deciding we are covering 1200 square ft of flooring, possibly going with bruce gunstock oak prefinished but Im worried that the beveled edge with bother me.

    The beveled edge can also collect dust :-( I prefer site finished floors but we offer both for varied tastes.

    I think a bevel adds sparkle and u can vacuum the dust easily!
