Does anybody know what this is?

I am in West Central PA zone 5/6. This is growing on the west side of my house. It is about 8 inches (or so) high. Any help is appreciated.

    Almost looks like Wiegela florida. Perhaps a dwarf variety??...like Midnight Wine or similar? Did you notice any bloom this spring?
