Small garden plots of corn will wind pollinate more thoroughly if planted in a rectangular/massed area, rather than a single row. Been pretty breezy around here for many days, predominantly from NW and N. How does your planting alignment and geometry compare to the above?

Well, these are in a row, but in a breezy place.

Perhaps windward end of single row would be less pollinated. If the whole row is broadside to prevailing breeze,hand pollination could help.
