Use it for what works for you now. Certainly, part of it can eventually be a play area for the children. The end near the sliders can be designed for adult use now and modified down the line as you increase your social connections.

Put a puppet theater or little hiding area into the corner. Storage for toys, games, soft rug. You will love having a spot so that you can work in the kitchen and watch the kids.

Doesn't mean you can't design this to transition into adult area for those sort of gatherings.

Firstly, I would suggest that you get all your walls painted in the same color, preferably a light shade, like the beige on the window wall or any other tint. This would make your space look larger than it is. Get your room non bulky furniture. You can add color to the room through a colorful sofa, printed cushions and a beautiful rug.
