    Good riddle Harry!
I have no idea, both look succulent.
The flowers on second plant (blue) look more like salvia flower, or similar to one of the impatients - but the plant's leaves don't fit.

The pink reminds me of tradescantia? (setcreasia or something like that) - except the flowers on your plant are much more open.

    Hi Rina,

:) You have one part of the identification :)

greetings from bloody hot (35C) Holland

WOW - I am surprised...I hope someone else will try too.
Harry, that's hot - is that typical of Holland? Hopefully just a short heat wave. Time to put on sprinklers to cool off...Rina

No, we hardly ever have this weather. 23 - 27 C is warm enough for me.

    Nice plants, Harry!

    I'll say 1st is Tradescantia navicularis -non-succulent & 2nd is Plectranthus species.

    Bingo Rosemarie,

Tradenscantia navicularis and I think it is the only succulent form in the Tradescantiagroup.

The second plant is not a Plectranthus - at least not on my lable.

    :)

Hmmm....I will be thinking about this, Harry. But, it'll have to wait till I'm back from the ranch! I was not aware T. nav was considered a succ! Learning new things! :)

Would the 2nd be considered a Coleus? Sometimes synonym of some Plectranthus. If so, will look for species name later!

Harry could it be callisia??? - I don't think so because flowers don't look right to me...

one of alpine beardtongues??? - I know you have some alpines...

Be careful Harry, you don't want to mix it up with rosemarieo. Labels may be incorrect, but rosemarieo, not likely. You have a succulent Plectranthus. Yale

2 is Plectranthus tenuiflorus, syn. aegyptiacus. May have once been a Coleus as rosemariero mentioned, but this genus has been subsumed by Plectranthus and Solenostemon (generally non-succulent in comparison) in the literature. Leaf, flower, and stem morphology strongly argue for P. aegyptiacus/tenuiflorus, or a species so similar as to be identical morphologically.

    Yup,

I have it as Coleus coeruleus. Got it with that name from Gunther Dotsauer from Germany - a specialist. Maybe there has been namechanges, but I stopped a long time ago to pick that up alll the time.

Same goes for the Tradenscantia, which is now renamed as Callisia.

: ) Yes: I fully respect the knowledge of Rosemarie and know that for many years now. I'm a nitwit in comparisation to her.

Who is next with a nice riddle??

Ho hooo, you guys give me too much credit, and I am blushing by your kind words! :)
More things to learn! I was not aware they put Tradescantia in Callisia. Hmmm!
    Little funny, Richard! Hee hee!
Thanks for all the info, everyone! :D
