I agree if you fill the curve in and make them more shaker and paint it would really modernize them. I painted mine out last year. If your going to spray them yourself make sure you thin the paint out with something like Floetrol. It made a huge difference, I blog all my DIY's. Be patient if your doing it yourself and give the paint time to dry. I made a dust free are in my garage and my hubby reluctantly parked outside for a week!!

Brandi, Renae, would you have pictures of before and afters.
I will definitely change the oven into a stainless steel one and am considering roman blinds for the kitchen window.

I am also looking to transform the cabinets to white with the center island darker, maybe a mahogany shade. I lean toward dark brown furniture, so that will bring a gradual flow into the kitchen.

If it is possible to change out the curves couldn't you just remove the wooden curves & make them plain slab & then paint them off white. Slab is kinda in & way less work to keep up. With really nice stainless knobs it would look clean & new.

Thanks for the ideas. Would love to do it by myself, but with instead get a Pro. But have a definite vision. Hope I get some reasonable quotes.
