That look like concrete with a stain?

My guess is sandblasted steel with a rust patina.

We do this a lot. We always have a fireplace surround or two in process in our shop.

In California, Neolith and Dekton slabs go for around $25 - $30/sft. roughly depending on color/finish, plus labor om top.
