- I have been experimenting with hand pollinating my custard apples for the first time this year. I am not sure if the first 2-3 weeks (where I didn't use a brush) versus the later 2-3 weeks make a difference, or it just happens to be a long waiting period for the baby fruits to form, but I have seen alot more baby fruits these recent weeks compared to the past month. Anyhoo, I think a brush is an easier tool to work with regardless the confirmation about its effectiveness as far as pollinating. Keeping my fingers crossed that a number of them will stick. They are tasty fruits.
