All of our copper sinks are made out of heavy gauge copper sheet. Due to the hand made nature of our product, there will some variation in hammering, size and finish. This particular copper sink has a pewter coating that goes through a plating process.

Our antique finish is a living finish. Therefore, the finish will patina over time. To maintain the rustic beauty of the sink or tub, we recommend the following steps:

 Do not use any abrasive or harsh chemicals such as ammonia, acid, bleach, etc.

 Only use a soft cloth - Do not use any abrasive materials such as steel wool or scrubbers.

 Wash sink or tub with mild soap and water and wipe it with a dry cloth.

 Copper is a very sensitive metal, salt content in the atmosphere may cause tarnishing and discoloring.

 Occasionally apply beeswax to maintain the rustic finish.
