One of My favorite antique recycled woods but, it's RECLAMATION can have NEGATIVE EFFECTS on the rivers where they harvest it. A good substitute iS recycled Chestnut or Red Oak , Same color range and less damaging to the environment.

This cypress came from Savannah's oldest ship slips when a new river front hotel was being built over that slip. The pilings were pulled out, SALVAGED, they were the longest straightest and oldest virgin black cypress I've seen. Supplied by Southern Pine Co of Savannah. estimated age was 500 years old trees.
