We painted our kitchen cabinets a light grey to brighten and lighten it up. It is a very light grey, "Bedford grey" from Martha Stewart....and currently the walls are white. It appears to need some punch of color. I think a deeper grey would look nice on the walls or maybe just painting the trim the same color as the cabinets and keep the walls white. Although I dont want the room to be too dark, it faces north. I think the dark gray would make it look rich but am scared to paint it a darker color. The livingrm is painted a lt. French gray with white board and batten. You look into the livingrm from the kitchen so the dark paint at the entrance would pop and show off the craftsman trim.....but again, afraid it might look dark in the kitchen...any ideas?
