Last week I was given a Hayward S180T pool sand filter at no cost. Had to clean it out and fix a couple things, put it back together with only poly strapping packed inside. White embossed poly packed as much as I could with out it trying to come out the top. I have a roughly 1200 gal. pond with some gold fish and some Koi. Started the filter set up by 10 am Saturday morning and by Sunday afternoon I could see a good 6 inches down. Come this morning I checked and can now see almost a foot into the pond with no issue. I will do a back wash after work and keep dropping notes, Before I hooked this up it was a murky mess and could only see them when it was feeding time at the surface. Should have done this sooner. Will post pics later with before the sand filter and after the install.
