Need small recliner for romantic bedroom
My husband needs a recliner for his bad back. The only place we can put one is in our bedroom where I was planning to put a small upholstered chair for reading. There's not much space in the corner where it will go. We currently have an antique rocker I'm planning to sell there which measures 24 wide and 33.5 deep. Because of the corner, the slider exit, and need to walk past the chair to go around the bed, it has to be the kind that doesn't tilt back too far.
I want the bedroom to have an eclectic and romantic feel, so I don't want anything that looks huge, overstuffed, or leather. I don't want it to look like it came from my grandma's house either. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything that fits the bill. If it's a good shape, it's enormous. Or costs over $3500. As you'll see in my color scheme, light gray would be fine, or something where I could choose the fabric.

PRO11 years agoBarcalounger used to make a small bedroom recliner. They have discontinued it. I picked up two of them for $50 each at a resale shop. They would work well for your situation.

11 years agolast modified: 11 years agoTo get a really comfortable chair and in the right dimensions, wondering if your search could be broadened/easier to find if you considered a comfy chair that came with an ottoman. When not in use, the ottoman could be moved out of the way and placed at the end of your bed, with a throw over its edge.
