No, they aren't outdated. They aren't as common now that everyone is flocking to stainless, but there's a minority of us who like them as they keep the kitchen light, and look great with solid wood cabinets.

I never thought I would, but I've become fond of the stainless appliances in the home we bought. However, I think white appliances still look good, as in Maureen's White Shaker Kitchen photo. One suggestion...don't have cabinets painted a soft white paired with stark white appliances. It just looks off.

I love white appliances. They are timeless.
