Amorphophallum identification and care?

i have recently purchased a Amorphophallum from my local nursery i couldn't resist getting it being the only time i have ever seen them for sale in my area. I payed 45$ on this plant (which i hope wasn't too high priced ). But anyways the plant was not labeled with what specific cultivar it was and had no care instructions. from the research I've done i think it looks like a Amorphophallus Paeoniifolius to me does this sound right? and a few other questions i have are how big does the plant get? how often does it flower? and the overall care of this plant? Any info anyone could give me on this plant would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hang on.

Hopefully someone with better knowledge of this plant will be along to help you with identification.

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with me. I have ran into a bit of a problem as i was looking at my plant today the leaf stalk part of the plant appears to be rotting. its brown and slimy and literally happened over night. i hope i wont loose it, anyone familiar with this problem?

That stem doesn't look as green as it should. How do the leaflets up top look?

it looks like rot to me the leaves look green and normal but today the leaf stalks are starting to lean.

Here's what a healthy a konjac looks like. It simply looks like your plant doesn't have enough exposure to light and fertilizer based on how pale it looks. Here's the stem on mine. The 2 new petioles are nowhere close to done growing either.

Here's a bit of a tougher to grow plant the a titanum, and it's still simply light and fertilizer with very good soil that will give you nice strong plants.

Could it be goose bill bite marks?

you know i was just thinking of that because i was outside today and saw them tormenting my banana trees trunk (biting it) and as i was potting up the voodoo lily they were there watching me. they follow me everywhere and are so curious as to what I'm doing. id say its likely the cause of the problem. gosh i feel so stupid after all this research I've been doing to realize it was my birds causing the problem. but i swear it looked like rot to me. but it makes sense since the problem hasn't progressed any more (probably because they didn't like the taste)

    Thanks

I think it was my keen forensic eye. First, I saw what looked like goose tooth marks on the tree, then...I remembered that geese chew everything (even a/c unit cables *shakes fist*) and then....I saw how suspiciously unsuspicius that goose was trying to pretend to be in that picture RIGHT BEFORE THE DAMAGE. I rest my case, Your Honor.

If it pleases the court, I just made the picture full size and see an African goose that was clearly wearing camoflouge and this was clearly a premeditated crime. One distracts while the other one makes sure that new tree knows who's the boss of this place.

I just cant believe i didn't put it together because the white goose in the picture (Lucy goose) loves biting things from fingers all the way to pulling labels off of boxes. well I'm relieved its not disease.

But Thank You to everyone who took time out of their day to help me.

Geese and plants are not a good combination, for the plants at least.

Yeah I found out the hard way they have found intrest in knocking over my potted plants but I can't get mad at them because their my babies.

Geese are like really strong two year old children.

    But a lot noisier.

I feel like I'm raising children with my geese and other birds and I'm only fifteen
yes I know I'm a weird child who loves gardening and raising animals but I don't care.

I think that depends on whose children we're talking about here lol

The leaves had started to decline for the season so I went ahead and cut the leaves off, but the weird thing I discovered when digging up the corm for storage is all of the leaves were growing off of the same corm? I thought these plants only put up one leaf per corm?
