Kitchen remodel with a tight budget

We had a kitchen that was not that bad but wanted to give it a face lift .
So we added new appliances and changed out the granite along with a new backsplash.
Love to hear your thoughts !!

About 13k is what we spent
2k labor
5.5k new appliances
3k sanding and repainting cabinets
2k for materials including backsplash new sink and faucets and countertop and we saved a TON by using prefab granite.

We are in San Ramon CA

Looks great! Where is this kitchen and if you don't mind my asking, about how much did this facelift cost? I want to do the exact same updates to my kitchen (appliances, countertops, backsplash) so i'm doing as much research as possible since I am on a budget.

Ummm...I don't consider 13k a tight budget. Sorry, but that's A LOT of money for some of us, especially for a "facelift."

I don't think the backsplash matches with your counter top. However, your white cabinets look awesome. I hope you are enjoying your home. It's always a great thing to have your home customized to you.

I think it would "kill me" to take out granite just to replace it with a cheaper ceramic tile backsplash. That large granite backsplash "slab" behind the stove was awesome, unless it was in reality only granite tiles instead, then I could see replacing that as okay. However, a one piece slab, oh no! I do agree with painting the cabinets white and adding glass door fronts and getting the new SS appliances, just not changing the seemingly great original granite although I do love black granite myself.
