Thanks for responding Hayley. Unfortunately, this bathroom won't accommodate the medicine cabinet as you describe it. I can't inset anything into the wall. I need some sort of hinge or the type of wall mount commonly used for TV's - but the mirror must be able to accept the screws for such a mount. Most mirrors can't have screws into the back. I was hoping some manufacturer had made a decorative mirror just for this purpose. Oh well.

Do you just mean a mirror on an arm? Because those are extremely common...

Thanks, acm, but the mirror on the wall as shown here is not what I want. The room is lovely - with granite and marble and stone floors. The fixtures are very high end. Just mounting one of these on the wall would be very practical, but not decorative. I want the true purpose of the mirror to be disguised, if you understand my meaning. Can't believe nobody else has ever had this problem, or that there is no version of what I'm describing available from the manufacturers.

I have three identical medicine cabinet mirrors on the bathroom wall the two on the end open so that I can see all sides of my hair middle one does not. So left mirror opens right. and right mirror opens left. middle mail is stationary. works beautifully

Hi! The one in the video is the right apparatus that I'm looking for, Hayley. Thanks for sending that. Now if I can just find one with a nicer looking frame I'll be in business. I am now in touch with people who make TV wall mounts which easily and readily tilt and swivel. I appreciate your efforts! Karen

Hell. I gave up on the mirror problem and started getting keratin treatments so my hair was straight! Now I don’t need to see the back of my head as long as I get trimmed on time.

I, too have been looking for something nice for 2 remodeled bathrooms to see the back. I solved the problem with master because I installed ceiling to floor cabinetry with split doors that open up at head level at my back. I put a command hook inside one door and hang a hand mirror on it. It reflects on the full length wall mirror I put up to my left. I am blind without glasses so bending over the sink to see anything is awful. Works wonderfully. The other bathrooms....are not so easy. I keep playing with mirror options. The ones that accordion out only work for a set height. These are guest bathrooms and people have a very wide range of heights. I want to be thoughtful because when I travel it is a pain to do my short hair holding up the mirror to see how my wonky straight hair is curling.

I'm STILL looking..... very frustrating that options are not available for various heights.
