I've heard that it's more maintenance then other kinds of countertops but I'd love to have it in my kitchen and bathroom!

Good question from Dawn. I think you're going for overall life and quality of the countertop so I would have to say Granite Countertops are your best bet. Both have pros and cons that should be investigated, however.
