I cut back my basil last night and made a bunch of pesto to freeze. I didn't add the cheese. I was going to put mounds on a cookie sheet and freeze, but had a brain storm. I scooped out 1/2 Cup portions into my silicone muffin pan, and popped the whole pan into the freezer. this morning, they popped right out into a storage container. Just thought I would share what I thought was a neat idea.
