The plain feel plain and the beveled with your cabinets may be too much. Have you considered crackled subways. They are a bit different and the texture is interesting and warm.

Either would look great but I think the beveled gives the area a little more dimension and interest.

I would go w/ the plain flat. Classic, timeless.

Plain if you have corners in your kitchen. I think the bevel always ends up looking weird at the corners.

love the bevel - really need a photo of the space and hardware, flooring - each item, color , texture supports and creates that unique space - enjoy your new space!

Always feel a little more interest in your backsplash is better...everything all flat shiny white feels a little institutional...sort of lacking a personality...the kitchen is a special place in the home ...the previous photo demonstrates how special a white kitchen can be...at a cost of course

I think flat subway would look nicer here.
