Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca', Larix kaempferi 'Pendula' (or another weeping form), Picea abies 'Reflexa' and Pinus strobus 'Pendula' have all been prevalent on the market. The larch is often sold incorrectly as weeping European larch and the spruce is usually listed as 'Pendula' - even though there is no cultivar with this name, it instead being a grab bag term (f. pendula) for all weeping forms of Norway spruce.

Spreading and pendulus are different things. Creeping yew is wider then it is tall, but not exactly pendulus. Pinus strobus 'Pendula' and Weeping White Spruce are pendulus.

Thank you both for the suggestions. Sorry, Ed. I'm still new at the whole tree terminology thing.

No problem! I just wasn't sure if you wanted a pendulus tree that was also spreading, or thought only pendulus conifers were spreading.

Where in the world you are located would help with suggestions.

Sorry tj, I am in East Tennessee. Zone 6b/7a.

Table Mnt pine can sometimes grow like that, but depends on the site, sun exposure, competition, etc:

how much space do you have ...

is there any arboretum within a 3 hours drive.. so that you could turn off the gizmo.. and go look at them in person???

how far are you from cinci??.. i think there is one there...

maybe others can offer visit suggestions ...
