We have an open floor plan and the adjoining rooms have 7" crown molding. We are getting a new kitchen with a slightly dressed up shaker style door, 42" high. Ceilings are 9.5 feet. Should we echo the crown molding to go with the house or choose a molding more typically used with shaker like a smooth angle?
