Induction Cooktop Pans - Which Brand?

Does anyone have any recommendations for induction friendly pans?

Are you looking more for performance reviews of individual brands or just where to find induction-compatible pans?

I was looking for a performance review/recommendation. I will check out the ikea line, thx.

I guess I am looking for a line that I can pick up pans individually rather than buy a full set that I may not use some of.

Totally agree.....sets always seem to have too many useless pans! I've had really good expensive pots and pans, but for induction, which is so quick to respond in minuscule degrees, with a timer as well, usually, I'm not sure it's worth spending a whole lot of money. Most of the IKEA ones are sold individually. I started with their 365 non-stick wok. It's a handy size and shape. Here it is on the houzz Australia website, go figure!

Most of the places I know of that sell induction pans do only come in sets. I think Bed Bath and Beyond also sells them individually. We ended up with a set from Costco (the brownish/copper colored ones) and are pleased with them, although I don't really have anything to compare them to as this has been our first time with an induction cooktop. And have never used or had gourmet pans or really any complaints about the cheap ones I've used before. Know what you mean about the sets with too much stuff. Our set had just the right amount for us though, so look into the different sets. Sam's Club also sells them and I think Macy's did too.

    Calgirl,

Did you go with and if so, do you like your Ikea frying pan? I only need a 12", have everything else. ( :

As it turned out, my 20 year old wedding gift pans were induction friendly.......so I only needed to purchase a small frying pan and a milk pan - both of which I picked up at Homesense.

Are any of these frying pans nonstick? I need the whole set. :-)

Zwilling J.A. Henckels has a 10 piece set that has the ceramic lining. You can find it at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $400. Grab one of their 20% off coupons and save a bundle. I have a couple of their pieces and love them and am considering getting the entire set.
