Yes I would recommend a "graise" which is a combo of gray and beige. Ider white by sherwin williams (very light), agreeable gray sherwin, or more in the beige tone than the gray is Jute by ben moore.

Get your inspiration from a favorite piece of fabric or art.

BM Mt. Rainier grey is a suggested colour to coord with swiss coffee.

Paint is the last item in a re-design, because it should be based on the fabrics it must work with. I'd suggest you start with the furnishings, rugs, and art. That's what will determine a direction for the paint color. Two neutral palettes most of us on Houzz like are gray and greige. Thanks for the comments! I am trying to define my style, and I see some consistency in my ideabooks. However, it is so hard to commit to one interior motif! This is our first home, and I feel like every decision is "forever."

I have recently focused on finding my inspiration piece/jumping off point, and find myself bombarded again with so many lovely concepts...nature, maps, fruits, vegetables...Moroccan motifs, kantha quilts, ikat, burlap. Y'all - I will be retired before I make a decision!

I skimmed through your extensive ideabooks and deduce that you're a pastel gal. I suggest you start a list of the concepts you like, but look for them in pastel colors. Find a piece of art, a textile (quilt or rug) and 2-3 pillows that you love and that you think will work together. Use them to select a wall color. Many of your photos include white sofas, so that's a big help. A white sofa will be very flexible for you. If you have a sofa you can't replace, get a white slipcover for it. I also noted lots of wing back chairs. That's a place to add a large pastel pattern. You have lots of photos of your stair and landing railings. What is your concern with them? Have you considered painting the handrails black? Every room can use a touch of black.
