wire brushed oak floor -what colors to match?

Got this gorgeous wire brushed oak to put throughout the whole main floor including kitchen. Thinking of grey and white kitchen cabinets color from Ikea. But is it going to work? What is the best color for the walls in the rest of the floor?

I think your selections are beautiful and a perfect combination. Your wall color and accents will depend on what you want for a counter top and back splash and your personality. The floor has a lot of movement therefore I would keep the counter top simple and add a modern back splash that has glass, white tile and stainless steel strips in it. I envision a lighter gray than the cabinets on the walls to help pronounce the upper cabinets. With this combination any accents will pop. Let us know the end results and All the Best to you

Get everything in and then decide on wall color.

I think the floor looks great with the cabinets and serves as a neutral. Turquoise blue would be beautiful as would Coral or even Yellow. Stay away from other neutrals and it should look beautiful!

HI thanks for your suggestions. My other idea is to actually get stainless steel kitchen cabinets, maybe then in combination with that floor it will be more of a "rustic" look? so maybe it will give lighter color than the grey from the picture above, something like the attached . What do you think?

Gotta decide within next few days (will need the luck!), demolition is on NOW!

My personal choice is the painted cabinets. I would think you would be spending a lot of time cleaning and polishing the latter.

They're both Wonderful looks but for practicality I have to agree with K.O.H. - the painted cabinets will be much easier to maintain and live with plus the kitchen will have more light.
