These are very fragrant? My friend in the mountains gave me a few flowers and they smelled heaven all the way home!!

Not sure as to fragrance since they are so tall I cannot access them. I just had to share this photo as I was so surprised.

I think it's called formosa lily. My neighbors have this in bloom now, and years ago I took some seeds that were falling out of it and threw them on the soil, and got one that has bloomed in the past but may or may not bloom this year (too close to a shrub that has expanded, and not enough water), but they are fragrant in the evening, especially the new blooms. Theirs is flopping onto the street now. I like it because it won't die despite neglect.

maybe they read Gardenweb and saw your name "ncrescue" and decided you were the person to take care of them! The plant sure knows its adoption routine! Hehe ! :-)

Save the pods and also let it multiply where it is right now.. I am sure you are gonna be very happy with it!
