neither is right - if u r commited to casements, on this era / style home, use top row division - and if the window openings are over 30" wide, use double casements
single casements at this scale won't perform well long term and are anti historical - the three stack is for mediterranean styles - maybe if u had a tile roof. With this, we need a photo to advise you further - casements generally cost more than double hung but in certain climates without much rain, are a fine style choice. However, with this architecture, you need something classic - windows are theyes / soul of a house.
doublehungs with a single vertical muntin all the way up and down would get you closest to modern and throwback
