IMO, the teal is too casual a color for your gold bedspread and cherry furniture. I think this gold and aqua damask is a pretty combination.

Navy, purple, green,blues are other colors. Walls can go gray.

Thanks for photoshopping those in Beverly. OP said the bedspread is gold but on my monitor it appears to be more of a champagne color. Is that what you're seeing?

Hi, Gold used with a single cool color like Blue, Green or Teal will be formal if you use darker shades (Navy, Royal or deep Teal). The same colors in lighter shades, paired with Gold, will get more soothing and "Bedroomy" the lighter you go. Paired with Ivory or White you'll have a neutral palate to add whatever you like. Paired with Reds= lively, brash. Pinks=intimate, feminine.

Kat and Beverly - yes the color is more champagne. As i look at all the helpful suggestions, I'm thinking that the teal accents are too contrasty. And the off-white walls I wanted to paint may be just right. I love the silver/gold color scheme. Maybe some curtains with gold leaves.
