Yay! I know exactly how that feels, Duc, I have my first seed pod too. Yours is further along though. It's purplish towards the tip? Congrats!
This reminds me--how do we know when to bag the pod?

Hi Duc, I am not a seed pod expert at all. Congrats on your pods, these look to be in a fairly mature state. Based upon my readings, as they approach maturity people will wrap them to prevent the pod from busting open and the seeds scattering to the wind (they have feather-like ends). I have seen some people using wire to keep them closed. I have also read where some people wrap panty hose around the pods. You will want to wait for them to ripen on their own. Cleaning the seed will be quite a chore.

I am just experiencing my own seed pods for the first time, so hopefully we can learn something together.

P. S. The plant can pollinate itself. Plants have both male and female reproductive parts.

Hi and thank you so much for your input! I had no idea that a plant has both male/female flower parts. That's a contradiction to what I've read online...learn something new everyday! I will read up on if I can get any additional visual cues of when the seed pod is ready. And yes, I do agree it will be a learning experience for me as well. I definitely will keep you guys updated on how they're doing.
