It's so heartbreaking, I hope next season will be better and hopefully more than one inflo.

Last comment on this issue. The flowers on this plant, at least this first season, was very underwhelming. It seems to have a very short bloom time, and the flower's scent was reminiscent of coconut oil, not exactly what I was expecting; but the branching was absolutely phenomenal. Four branches emerged from the inflo point, the longest is already 18 inches and it's only been about six weeks since they started growing. This is definitely a super fast grower, it was about 3 feet tall including the pot when I bought it in approximately Jan and now it's about 5'5" at the soil line, so about 3 feet of growth in about 7 months.

Possibly due to a bit of dehydration?

It's been a hell of a rainy season, and it was recently knocked over, maybe that's why.

Thank you Laura. I really think it was related to all the rain and wind we've had this season. I honestly wasn't expecting an inflo at all this year, so I should consider myself lucky that I got any at all, and I really wanted more branches so I'm happy about that.

I think, just a theory though, that inflos that readily fall apart are the result of plants not fully established yet, or are maybe under stress. But it seems the variety has something to do with it as well. Some varieties are just more robust than others. Is that one in a large enough pot?

Or, maybe birds are landing on them as a potential perch and breaking them off. They can be delicate and brittle.

So just a few ideas.

With how fast this plant is growing, I'm starting to think it just wanted to put more energy into growing. I'm assuming this is a fairly young plant, so maybe you're right Dave. But, tree frogs seem to really like hanging out on it, it's possible they're the culprit.
