First Plumeria I bought. Very small

I just brought a Plumeria ~ 'Fangiapani' ~ Gold Coast Candy. I haven't the slight list idea how to care for it. Is it a sturdy plant. Live in South Carolina. Lots of sun and heat. Have a Lanier, however it gets hot also. Great for my orchids. What type of soil does it need? Is it a easy plant to care for. Has anyone had any luck growing them in the southeast? How often do you water it and what type of fertilizer?
