Tricky layout. To get a work triangle, move island toward family room so it aligns with other counters. Then move fridge to the corner by the fireplace. You'll be able to walk from fridge to sink without the island in the way.

Your fridge needs easy access to your sink, not your stove. I would have suggested the fridge move to sink wall, but then your counter space would be limited.

Actually, you could move fridge to sink wall and make your island longer. The wall behind the island would be for pantry, beverage bar, display... Anything not directly related to cooking, because you won't go around the island to get there.

HI -- Not a good plan for function .... the fridge has to move for this to work properly . The wall where the fridge is shown should just be used for storage like the pantry and so on. The fridge needs to go to the right of the sink . The way things are on the plan now makes the island a road block between the main use appliances and sink etc.
