Hi, although you have a beautiful floor that you might not want to cover to much, one way to make the house feel like a home is to add area rugs, specially in the dining room and the big tv room. Also, you might want to add a big rectangular mirror to the wall in the dining room, either dark wood like your set or a nice pewter finish to go with the grey seating sofas. Try a big painting behind the big sofa in the tv room. something that pulls the warmth of the floor and maybe have some reds, greens and greys. Hope it helps. good luck!

Not sure why you have two photos posted with different stuff.
Is all of that yours? What is staying and what can be repurposed or returned?
There are two ottomans, different pillows, a small rug.
Besides all of these little things, the first thing that jumps out at me is you need a much bigger area rug for your tv room. One that all front legs of the furniture can fit on. If you can't find one ready made, a design shop can cut one to measure and bind it for you.
Also your TV is hung a little too high. Doesn't your neck get sore looking up that way?
As for an ottoman or coffee table, try to get something that's not so matchy.
Next drapery panels in a beautiful soft, light fabric will soften the space.
Then all you need is a pop of color from pillows and accessories.

Your home is lovely! I would suggest a floor lamp on the right of the sofa and a table/lamp on the other side. Since when you walk into the front door the eye is drawn to the dining area and wall, I'd suggest a pretty wall paper as a focal point when you walk in. Wall paper like this, but only on the one dining wall behind the table.

Rugs under tables help make a space feel cozy. You need a rug under the dining room table, and a larger rug under the square ottoman, art on the dining room wall, art over the sofa in the tv room, window curtains and the top of the mantle needs to be accessorized. The square ottoman works better than the round one.

Your home is beautiful!! It simply needs tables with lamps and fabric window treatments. Please remove those blinds....they do not fit in with a beautiful room.

Oh...the round ottoman? I think it would look good in front of the FP with the two accents chairs "sharing" it. PS...oh...did you keep those chairs? I love the new furniture. If space allows, float the piping chair by the dining room and use those great accent chairs by the FP with the ottoman? It may look too crowded though...just a thought.

Congrats on your beautiful home! I know you just moved in but I really think a coat of paint should be your starting point. I don't know about you but for me, builder "biscuit" wall color doesn't say cozy space to me! My suggestion would be taupe(Mink by Sherwin Williams) or if you dare, dark grey! I agree that area rugs and drakes make a space cozy! Please don't forget throw pillows and a soft blanket, perhaps faux fur!

Beautiful home! I think it just needs a few finishing touches to soften it up. I would add area rugs, curtains, and art on the walls.

Your home looks great, I love the simplicity. You need a bigger rug under the sofa, but the florrs looks great, so it is not neded under the dining table, add some cozy lighting, art decor and maybe a mirror on the blank wall, or above the fireplace (seems to me you have moved the tv to across from the sofa.

The beige walls and grey furnitures seem confusing to me. I would paint the walls grey and add some other cheer curtains. Add some big wallpaper covered canvases on the other walls. Or make your own gallery/picutre wall behind the dining table.

Visit Pinterest for dining table decorations.

    Hi Niki,
your home is beautiful, I love the floor.
Curtains and a wall art/mirror for the dinning. If you like rugs, use a larger one, but I'll leave the floor uncovered.
Find a new place for the palm tree.
I think your TV is too high. Curtains and wall art for TV room also.
