Omg, I think your right! Found a pic online looks identical to my flowers, I have it planted in the shade, as the mother plant was. Suppose full sun would give better colouring. Thank you so much!

Thanks, Virginia. I have contacted bok towers and will hopefully get a confirmation someday, if I do I'll be sure to post it. Untill then its labeled as mutabilis in my garden.

'Mutabilis' will do fine in some shade; it's really a great rose all around, and will need very little care once established...

'Mutabilis' is usually orange-looking upon opening, and becomes darker pink in the later stages. But maybe it is your conditions. The pointed leaves and darkening with age definitely indicate an R. chinensis involvement.

That definitely looks like Mutabilis to me too and mine doesn't always have an apricot/orange color either. But the form of that rose, with the twisting/curling petals is very Mutabilis!

Well Im more than convinced, I plan on taking some cuttings and trying it in full sun someday to see if that helps the color any, also bok towers got back with me only to pass on that the staff was not aware of any roses matching my description, or in that location.
