I would never touch an oak door In fantastic condition with paint! If your hallway seems dreary/needs something splurge on a fab long runner in a gorgeous color to give the space a facelift. Change the light fixture to something you actually like, and add a large mirror if you have the wall space to give the illusion off space and light. Start with this before making any other changes (ie your dreaded paint idea).

Try to find a solution to not paint. Paint does lighten but is higher maintenance, looks cheaper if not painted perfectly, and shows all finger prints and dirt. I see your issue....your colours don't blend (floors and walls). It's hard to give a right answer when I can't see if this hallway is viewed from below via stairs(?), my first impression is your doors are beautiful and your floors and wall colour are wrong. Light carpets (creams, light beige & naturals) with darker walls may help.

Unless you hate the look of oak doors, I would not paint quality doors. The trim and floors are 3 different shades of wood which is not working. I personally don't like unpainted trim unless it is an arts&craft or cabin style home. I think painting the trim in a warm white/ivory will compliment the warm undertones of the doors and floors and pull it together. Two shades of wood will not be as jarring as three.

The hallway looks a little dark. I cant tell if that is due to my screen or because there isn't any natural light in there. I would consider putting a deeper/richer neutral shade of paints on the walls as well :)

The doors are quite handsome. I would leave them alone. I think that the right wall color could make it all work. A neutral greeny tan like Behr Moccachino or SW Sawdust would really make the richness of the wood work.
