Too much Sun....Avocado (when young or the first year in the ground) suffers hot and full-sun....in my opinion is not a big problem, the next year will sprout better and will be more resistant to hot and sun.

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately this is a symptom of drowning. Which it did. I purchased a new one with ground modifications.

Drainage was the issue.
