Curtains on the inside of window frame

Our windows did not have trim and we just added trim to our windows in the living room and dining room. I stained all of the woodwork and do not want to hide it. I would like to put the curtains on the inside. I have been looking for pictures with the curtains on the inside, similar to the way a shade would be. Any ideas? I really do not want a shade.
