You have white trim on the windows and columns, but brown trim elsewhere. I am guessing the window trim can't be changed. So I would paint the dark trim white.

For the rest of the house I woul go dark - dark green or dark brown if you don't want to paint the brick. But test a portion against the trim and brick first.

Paint the garage doors the same color as the house.

i don't know what is going on with the concrete in the front - is there extra concrete surface to facilitate turning a boat trailer? Something needs to happen there.

How wide is the corridor between the columns and the house? Could you build a half-wall out of the same brick used on the foundation and have shorter' wider columns on top of that.?

Thanks janedoe2012 for your suggestions! Actually the window trim is currently painted white and could be changed to another color. The brick either needs to be removed or repaired (in a few places) and we are planning to change the garage doors as well. Basically, anything is an option at this point!
