I would start by getting rid of the really tall dresser. Instead, I would get a low, long dresser. It is going to fit that wall much better. I would than flank the dresser with floor mirrors and finish off the space with a great rug.

Bring color into the space to really liven it as well.

If you need help, hire a local designer to help you bring it all together!

I can't tell too much from your pics, but I would start by putting a pretty rug at least 1/2 way under the bed. You need some color!

start with a rug to warm it up.
create a sitting area with a small love seat, or a cozy chair with a small table for your recent book or magazine and a standing lamp behind it.
i wider dresser such as a crendenza (look them up on craigslist- midcentury modern for cheap- with clean lines and natural wood finish.
you could mount your tv to the wall just don't leave the cords dangling.

An area rug and the space looks likes its begging for a slipper chair.

A much wider piece of furniture on wall facing bed...an area rug..you seem to have enough room for a seating are too. I see nothing on walls....Can u give us better pics of the room with better light please?

What is the wall color, and is the furniture black or brown?

I like a chaise lounge in the space. Add a rug!
