What a great house - so much character. I see it and think "Tuscany"! With that lovely orange roof, I'd either embrace it and warm up the siding to a shade lighter than the roof or go toward a yellow cream.

Are the shutters coming back? If not, consider adding a thick trim and painting them slightly darker that the current color on your shutters because you'll want that contrast to stand out with the arches. If they come back, you won't need to beef up the trim but I'd still go with a darker brown - think rustic timber colored!

Change the railings you have across the bottom - a dark rustic timber like the trim or black wrought iron AND make sure to install it so that it is level all the way across the house, even if it means making the right hand side longer to fill the space as the ground slopes. If you can't lengthen the rail, find something that will make up that difference. It's really important to get that rail level. I'd then go bold and dark on the door - navy, rustic green, deep plum. Think about getting rid of the small lights on either side of the door and find a large iron outdoor fixture that can hang down from the 2nd floor.

i thought mexico, ranch .......i think the beige would work well, or even off white.
