Help with window treatments?

Family room triple window, then a sliding door and a smaller window off to the right. Not sure how to bring it all together. We do have neighbors right behind us so we want a little privacy.

I would recommend shades on your windows, and traversing drapery on your slider so you can have privacy.

If you like a layered look, you can put a cornice or valance on each section of windows (perfect with a slider). Mount them all the same height to create the illusion of height and to even the tops (just like Brandi suggested with a high-mounted drapery rod). It's also an easy way to bring some pattern or color into your space.

If you have a local Ethan Allen, find a designer their to help you with Hunter Douglas shades and custom valance.

Hang all curtains high and at the same height even over the door the Rod should be the same..hanging higher makes the room look bigger so go as high as you can

You can also use one Rod by getting PVC at your hardware store and painting it to look like metal wood etc, rods are expensive and really expensive for long ones, I think one Rod will look better and more put together than three rods

Try blinds as well in the windows and since the littlest window is in what looks like a narrow space maybe skip curtains on that on and just use a blind

Thank you for your great ideas. I saw something in your idea book that I like. We are waiting for our rug from Ethan Allan and all furniture came from there :)

I think cornice boards are too old looking for a young family, too heavy

I would go with grommet-top panels.

Yes, I agree Brandi, too heavy. I do want to keep it sort of light and airy. Our rug is a great slate blue and our throw pillows have great color so don't really feel like we need to add color. I like the panel idea with maybe blinds. Thanks for all the help!
