If you could, on a piece of paper, draw the walls and give us dimensions and note the window and door locations.

Just a couple questions-are you ok with having plumbing and hvac and electrical moved. Have you determined whether the walls you want to remove are load bearing. Just guessing you want to open up the dining room wall and the wall the stove is on?

Also, if you could tells us what you are looking for-island, breakfast bar, desk area, broom closet, etc.

We are okay with moving whatever we need to, as the current kitchen doesn't lend itself to much expansion without those critical adjustments.

We wanted to take out the 8' 2" wall separating the "KIT" and the 8 X 11 room. The stove wall backs up to basement stair and above the basement stairs is a stair way leading to an attic. It is a ranch with a basement, so just a full attic above all rooms.

Looks for plenty of cabinet space (we currently have 57 cubic square feet), a cabinet pantry, 4-5 drawers, a gas stove (currently electric) and a 33-36" fridge, dishwasher, deep sink.

I do love to cook and would like as many of the features of a chef's kitchen that I can fit. :)

Usually where ever you buy cabs. They have designers in staff. Use them. For the best advice. Kitchens have a lot of codes you must follow. They would no best what to do. Seek out companies that offer that service. You won't regret it. It's a free service.

Since you only want to demo the dining room wall, I agree to have a kitchen designer help.
