Are you going to have seams?

Note: there is no big island. It's two runs and then one peninsula that isn't super deep or anything.

Would probably have to have seams if we wanted lines to run parallel on perimeter counters.

Are you buying it from the same place that will cut and install it? I ask because the movement in the material will make seams a bit of a challenge. You will want a skilled eye to look at those slabs and guide you, according to exactly where the seem will be placed.

I mean, we can tell you which one is most appealing visually, but you should ask an expert who can look at your plans and tell you which slab(s) are going to work best.

FWIW, they are all really gorgeous.

I really wanted the cross cut so the direction wouldn't matter much, but all they can find are the vein cuts. Maybe it would be worth it just to cross fingers and wait.

the place I'm buying the slab from would be the one who cut/installed it. But they don't have any white macaubas on their lot so they are trying to source some for me.

Are you going to see the slabs in person? I looked at a lot of quartzite when deciding on counter tops for my house and in all cases the color in pictures looked white and beautiful, and in person it was not really white. Not saying it wasn't beautiful in its own right, but definitely not white like the pictures.

Number 2 is going to be the easiest for your fabricator to cut. Also, ask them to look for some "Calacatta Quartzite" Its usually the Macaubas but cross cut.

I also like #2 the best.

I'm seriously in LOVE with #3!!!!!

That squiggly line IS very fun.....though I'm not absolutely sure we should be picking an entire slab on the basis of that narrow section. Tempting, though!

Number two!

I like the open white areas of #4.

I vote for 2 but love the squiggle in 3 and the wave in 4

I love #4...it's like a pencil drawing of a mountain and water with different colored bands of the sunset (without the colors)...love that one!!
