Need help selecting a coffee table

This is the casual den off our kitchen where we hang out and my daughter draws, plays games, reads, etc. Looking for coffee table ideas. Thank you all for your help! This couch is 84" and light gray - the carpet is blue - doesn't' translate well in the picture

Getting an old coffee table and painting the sides and legs a bold color then using chalkboard paint for the top makes the table kid friendly. It's also great for little messages to each other and quick games like hangman or tic tac toe.

Added: Have company? A fast wipe with a damp cloth..but if your company is anything like mine they will want to break out the chalk too.

A lift top coffee table would be great for drawing, doing homework etc, and provide storage of your daughters books and art supplies.

the second responder showed you 4 tables.... I like #1 best and then #4

your very pretty blue rug would not appreciate chalk dust, I'd NOT go that route for a table....

You've gotten some great suggestions so far. Another possibility would be something very kid friendly with lots of storage.

Like this coffee table, I have one similar, great with draws. I keep my gran kids books and puzzles etc in them, they play for ages on my coffee table

Since everything in the room is angular/square, i think a round coffee table/ottoman would be a great way to break up the corners. Wayfair has one with a removable cushion.

A scandinavian design with drawers in white would work well.
